Tuesday, August 29, Wang Wei The highest followers account on Instagram owned by Selena Gomez has recently been hacked with unknown hackers posting a bunch of nude photographs of her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber on her account. The latest hack is not part of the ongoing Fappening events affecting a majority of celebrities by targeting their iCloud accounts, rather in the case of Selena, some hacker managed to breach her Instagram account and posted Bieber’s photos. Bieber’s three full-frontal shots of naked photos were visible to Selena’s million Instagram followers for a short duration of time, after which her account was swiftly taken down Monday night. A post from Selena’s official Instagram account went up Monday showing 3 pics of Bieber with a caption that read: The Bieber nude images were not part of any stolen celebs photo dump , instead, they were clicked during his holiday in Bora Bora and also published online in , when Bieber was dating model Jayde Pierce. At that time, censored photos of Bieber were published by several websites, but uncensored versions also reached the Internet, which was posted on Selena’s hacked Instagram account, claims Variety. There’s no detail about hackers or how they got into Selena’s Instagram account available at the moment, but as we have previously seen many celebrities tricking into handing over their account credentials in phishing emails, the same could be the case with the “Good For You” singer. It seems like celebrities are not taking the security of their accounts seriously, which once again resulted in the hack of social media account of an A-listed celebrity. Just last week, dozens of intimate photos of Anne Hathaway , Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart, Katharine McPhee, and golfer Tiger Woods reportedly surfaced on the Internet after unidentified hackers gained access to celebs’ iCloud accounts and stole their private photos and videos. Today it’s Selena, but tomorrow it could be you.
Over 300 million AdultFriendFinder accounts have been exposed in a massive breach
Among the accounts exposed were email addresses for military service members and government workers, who could be targeted for blackmail, the news station reported. FriendFinder Networks said it would not speculate on the scope of the breach. Until the investigation is completed, it will be difficult to determine with certainty the full scope of the incident, but we will continue to work vigilantly to address this potential issue and will provide updates as we learn more from our investigation.
Teksquisite said many of the 15 spreadsheets in the data dump included only email addresses — but , of the accounts included details that could be used to identify users, such as their username, date of birth, gender, race, IP address, zip codes, and sexual orientation.

Cupid Media, which describes itself as a niche online dating network that offers over 30 dating sites specialising in Asian dating, Latin dating, Filipino dating, and military dating, is based in Southport, Australia. Krebs contacted Cupid Media on 8 November after seeing the 42 million entries — entries which, as shown in an image on the Krebsonsecurity site, show unencrypted passwords stored in plain text alongside customer passwords that the journalist has redacted.
Cupid Media subsequently confirmed that the stolen data appears to be related to a breach that occurred in January In January we detected suspicious activity on our network and based upon the information that we had available at the time, we took what we believed to be appropriate actions to notify affected customers and reset passwords for a particular group of user accounts. We are currently in the process of double-checking that all affected accounts have had their passwords reset and have received an email notification.
The number of active members affected by this event is considerably less than the 42 million that you have previously quoted. Adobe, as Krebs reminds us, found it necessary to alert only 38 million active users, though the number of stolen emails and passwords reached the lofty heights of million records. More relevant than arguments about data-set size is the fact that Cupid Media claims to have learned from the breach and is now seeing the light as far as encryption, hashing and salting goes, as Bolton told Krebs: Subsequently to the events of January we hired external consultants and implemented a range of security improvements which include hashing and salting of our passwords.

AdultFriendFinder Friend Finder Networks, the company behind adult dating site AdultFriendFinder has been hit with a massive hack — exposing more than million user accounts. The news comes via LeakedSource, a site that monitors data breaches , which has obtained a copy of the stolen user accounts. The million accounts go back 20 years, it says, and the lion’s share comes from AdultFriendFinder — almost million.
Another 63 million come from adult webcam site Cams. It’s significantly larger than the hack of extramarital affairs dating website Ashley Madison back in , which saw nearly 40 million user accounts leaked to the world. Significantly less information about users has been leaked, however — while Ashley Madison included everything from photos and sexual preferences to addresses, the Friend Finder breach is limited to more basic information like email addresses, passwords, and registration dates.
That said, given the nature of the sites affected, it has the potential to be compromising to some users if the data starts circulating widely.
